Bhavnagar, fondly referred to as "Sanskari Nagari," is a city renowned for its cultural richness and strong sense of community. The Bhavnagar Municipal Corporation (BMC) is devoted to enhancing the quality of life for all its residents by improving infrastructure and services. Our mission is to ensure our efforts meet the needs and expectations of the people we serve.

Social infrastructure is equally critical to our vision for Bhavnagar. We aim to ensure universal education, particularly focusing on enrolling girls and reducing dropout rates. Our support extends to slum and street children through comprehensive programs that provide them with essential resources to thrive. Sanitation, pollution control, and universal immunization are key areas of focus, along with family welfare measures and quality assurance in health and nutrition.

Recognizing the importance of economic empowerment, we have launched the "UMEED" program, an employment-oriented training initiative aimed at vulnerable groups, including women and the handicapped. This program is part of the "Garib Samrudhi Yojana," demonstrating our commitment to a pro-poor approach. Recent projects, such as the 30-MLD Water Treatment Plant at Tarsamiya and the ongoing construction of the additional two-lane Akhlol Bridge, highlight our focus on providing citizen-centric solutions.
