The house tax department is the main source of revenue of the municipality. According to which the tax collection of all properties of the city is done by this department. Apart from this, work like assessment of remaining properties, seizure and auction proceedings against tax defaulters, expeditious disposal of various objection petitions received from the assessees etc. are done by this department.
