Department
- The Transport Department provides annual AC/Non-AC car vehicles on rent for the Corporation’s officers through outsourcing.
- The city bus service contract for the citizens of Bhavnagar is currently being operated by Bansi Travels. The monitoring of this service is done by this department.
- The Transport Department undertakes the insurance-related work of all the vehicles owned by the Corporation
- Diesel fuel for the corporation’s vehicles is currently being refilled as needed by the respective departments from the Bhavnagar Cooperative Petrol Pump, which is managed by the Bhavnagar Motor Sangha. The Transport Department is responsible for compiling the abstracts of the expenditure bills for this fuel and the repair work bills for the vehicles carried out by those departments.
- Transport department deals with disposal of old vehicles and scrap spare parts/goods etc. of the Corporation as per the rules.
